Hello everyone,
My wife and I will be celebrating our 5th anniversary in september and I need some cool ideas. All are ADR's are already booked. My budget for the night, not counting food, is $100. I'm pretty versed in what's available like cruises and such, I am really looking for a really magical experience. Here's my problem she has become an addicted Diser (so she knows everything disney!) so I really want to come up with something that will really wow her and make her feel like a queen. Any Ideas?

By the way if there are any CM reading this, we are staying at POP Century and would love a room upgrade! I guess it never hurts to ask!

How about a carriage ride at POR or FW? That could be romantic. How about dinner at Coral Reef where you get a personalized menu and a diver to hold a sign wishing you happy anniversary? How about ordering a special dessert at your favorite restaurant and having the waiter present it with some new jewelry? How about walking down to the beach at the poly and watching the fireworks from there?

How about a dessert picnic? Maybe do a small cake top that resembles the top of your wedding cake. I am sure the front desk folks could help out with pointing you in the right direction for this. There are a few spots at the Grand Floridian, or the Polynesian to do a picnic and watch the fireworks. The Polynesian actually has a "look out point" where they do weddings which can be romantic if you plan ahead. Blanket, candle, etc. A bottle of the bubbly works too. It may not be something you can hold on to physically, but the memories will last for a very long time. You can also check out the water light parade while you are there.

To add to my husbands idea. . . at about 9:00 - 9:30 on the 7 Sees Lagoon, the Electric Water Pageant shows happens on the lagoon. It's only about 10 minutes, but it's fun. It stops at each resort on the lagoon. You can check with any CM to find out exactly what time and which resort. It's always one of our favorite things to see!

When are you guys planning on going? If October, you could aslo plan to watch the fireworks at Magic Kingdom from Poly or the Grand Floridian.

The fireworks show that they do for Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party is so much better and longer than the standard Wishes show.

The view of the fireworks is incredible from Poly and the Grand!

You could even probably get with a CM - and arrange for a small table and 2 chairs to be set up for you at the beach with a bottle of wine or champange. . .that would be so nice!

We went last year for our 5th anniversary. No advise about romantic ideas (since we had our DD with us!) but I will mention to get your anniversary buttons from guest services and wear them the whole trip. You'll get lots of little perks (mostly free desserts) from CMs. We also got etched champagne flutes at CRT.

I love these ideas so much, this is exactly the kind of things i am thinking about. we will be at disney sept 10-19! Thank You!

We will be in Disney over our 18th anniversary with our 2 kids. We are doing Ohana's at 7pm for dinner. I know it's not the most romantic- but we do have an 8 and 9 yr old:laughing:
I was planning on the beach for fireworks and then the light parade after dinner. I love the idea of a table with wine waiting for us....how would I pull that off? Who do I call? TIA

We will be in Disney September 12th to the 28th - celebrating our 14th anniversary on September 16th.

So - from one anniversary couple to another, Have a Happy One!

I like the picnic idea. Maybe 'propose' once again. Let her know you would marry her all over again.

Doing our 7th anniversary Sept 25-30 sans children

We are staying at GF so I am renting a cabana for a half day as a surprise. I am also doing the mini castle cake to be delivered to our resort and the slipper dessert at CRT.

Hope that helps.

doing our 8th anniversary during our August trip (24-31). On our Anniversary night, we're planning on Kona Cafe.. maybe slip down to the beach and watch the fireworks after dinner and catch the electric water parade..

Good ideas though... i love it. :D

Uusally when you ck in at your hotel if you had told them it's your B-day or Ann. If not tell them when you ck in & they will get the pin or pins for you.
I was given my Bday one at Chef Mic's but my Ann one at the hotel when I ck in. Now on my Ann I first ck in at Pop she gave them to me at that time. Now the next day I moved over to The GF and they had them waiting in the room for me. But don't be shy ask for them. It's fun . :)
