In 92 degree heat and oppressive humidity, we went on a Secret Garden Tour yesterday. We do this about every second year, and it's a lot of fun, especially because you get to be nosey and poke around other people's yards! :)

The down side, well, some of these places are just amazing and it's easy to come home, look at your own garden and just say..."Oh to hoe with it!" ;)

Here are some pics we took, I hope you enjoy them!

A tangle of Columbine

A little gazebo anyone?

How about a small water feature? (same garden as above) Can you spot the two Heron statues on the right?

Another garden with a shady nook.

Now I know why I don't go on garden tours! *sigh*.....my garden wouldn't look like any of them on its best day.......

Thanks for the pics......there are truly some spectacular gardens out there........

Wow!!! What cool ponds... Thank you for the pictures.

Thanks for sharing..
Them are beautiful:D

I go to gardens like these... and feel compelled to start NEW GARDENS! LOL! Unfortunately... I have 40 acres that BEG me to add "just one more!". I must STOP... so no more garden tours for me. No sir. Not one single one. Never again.

(can I see those pictures just one more time?!) LOL! :p

OH WOW!!!!!!!! We have a garden tour here in our town in July and I so am thinking about going on it but same thing...I'm afraid I'd come home and go...ugh, I want one of those and those and those and those!!!! :)

But what beautiful gardens...and the work they put into them....WOW!!!

Beautiful, Snowarkl!

Well-worth braving the heat/humidity. I could almost take a dive in one of those ponds --:p

thanks for sharing!

Such beautiful gardens. I just planted one of the red columbines. It is called "music red & white". I didnt think it would bloom anymore since I planted it but it did & it is really unique and pretty.

WOW

that Gabezbo probably cost as much as my whole garden and my neighbors put together.

Beautiful.

and now that is my idea of a water feature(the first one)I want it!!!!!

And that shade garden is dreamy!

Looks like a plantation back home in SSB's home state of South Carolina... WOWsers!!!

GREAT scenes, GREAT photos.... thanks Ms. Snowwark for sharing....

:) :D :)

Beautiful "eat your bleeding heart out gardens". Lovely pics too, thanks.
I would be plotting my next garden all the way home. That's why DH rolls his eyes at the mention of a garden tour.

What beautiful pics! I'd love to take a stroll there.:)

We have a heavy snowfall warning in effect. We could get up to a foot of snow. I thought I'd bump this thread up to remind us of what will be here again before we know it. Really, it will, honest...:) :)

My apologies for how large the pics are this time around. I'm not sure why, I know I re-sized them before?? Oh well... :)

Wow! Did I miss this first time around??? Thanks for bumping it up. Those Columbines are just gorgeous!!

I hate winter. I hate winter.....

Thanks for the bump Snowwark, sure is nice to remember how hot and humid this past summer was.

I remember complaining about the oppressive heat and drought, now it's the bitter cold with snow storm after snow storm is the no happy medium.

I can look at the beautiful pic's and dream. With only 40 days left till my trip to Disney, I'll soon be able to touch, too. :bounce:

I missed it the first time around, too, but I've really enjoyed it this time! :D
