secret for discounted airline tickets?

what's your secret for getting a great airfare? coming from California for a family of 7! unfortunately, now that we've confirmed our vacation dates, the $99 SW rate isn't available anymore for July....anyone have any scoop on when $99 will become available (again) for July on either SW or America West (only currently available through April).

With gasoline going up the way it is this week, and is expected to in the future, I am not sure you will see those rates again.

The only secret to getting a great airfare is: Check back every day and when you see it, pounce on it.

Second best strategy: Wait for a fare war instead of booking at their everyday low price.

Get Ding through the Southwest website- all their daily deals are posted there. Check often. Thats my biggest tip right now.
