If they build a second tower on the other side of the contemporary, would it have comparable views as the current BLT (obviously it is further away, but would the views be as good??)
Also, would that mean that it combines with the current tower, or would it be a seperate DVC with its own 11 month window?? (I am just concerned that as an owner of BLT I would all of a sudden be lumped together with the new tower and then might end up with a room at the tower further from MK, when I bought and wanted the closer one??)
Any idea??![]()
One of which has now materialized as BLT.

Yep, They must have contracted with the "Earl of Sandwich".
We ended up with a BLT! A CLUB sandwich! I understand it will take 50 years to eat it while bacon in the Florida heat. Thank God for no mayo.![]()
As I said, I am not sure that if this second tower was built, that it would be DVC. I seem to remember at the time that it was mentioned that this would just be an ordinary Disney resort. If there is going to be a second tower and it is going to be DVC, then I would expect it to be run in the same way as AKV: if you own there, you can book at 11 months out at either part of the resort, but with the different parts of the resort being distinct booking categories.

It would NOT have MK views...the CR tower blocks that view. It would have to be something like Water View and Standard View. I also suspect that you'd be able to specify which tower.
If Disney builds a second tower and if it becomes part of the DVC (those are two pretty big IFs, by the way), it could be a taller structure than BLT. If so, it's top floors might still have a view of the MK.
As I've said before on the subject of a second tower, Disney would have to give the second tower some special appeal, or hook, to attract more DVC members and to generate an outbreak of addonitis. If a DVC member has already bought some BLT points, why would a second tower make that owner want to buy more points? And if a DVC member has not bought BLT by now, why would a second tower encourage them to do so? If anything, a second tower might have DVCers believe it will be easier to get rooms at the towers at the 7-month window, thereby lessening the appeal of having BLT as a home resort.
The feature that I would add to a second tower is a concierge level. AKV's concierge level has been extremely popular with DVC members. In addition, like the sunrise safari at AKV, I'd add a special cruise/boat ride on Seven Seas Lagoon for a sunset dinner and to watch the fireworks that is only available to BLT concierge level guests. With these "unique" features, some people might prefer the second tower.
