Second Time Cruiser New to Eastern Caribbean

Myself, DW and 5 yo DD went on a 4 day Bahama Disney Cruise last year for Halloween. I just booked another for 10/21/17 on the Fantasy to the Eastern Caribbean 7 day. We had a forward ocean view room the first time. This time I have booked a midship 4a veranda. We are so excited!!! We would like to know what to expect as well as what kind of tips we can get.

Expect a much more relaxing cruise, Eastern has a very relaxed itinerary and guests seem to not be in such a hurry to get it all done. Youll love it!

Thank you for that. That is what we are hoping for. The four night Bahamian was definitely rushed. We had to just step back a couple times.

Oh, you will love being on the ship for 7 days -- and I agree with this comment about the Eastern itinerary being so relaxed. Have a great time!

7 night cruises are so much fun and more relaxed and you'll love the verandah

We love the 7 night Eastern on the Fantasy. Gotta love those "at sea" days!

What ports are on your itinerary?

Some of the things we've done:

St. Thomas: 1st time took ferry to St. John and did island tour; 2nd time did St. Thomas island tour; 3rd time went to tramway and up mountain; 4th time did Coral World (cannot recommend -- depressingly run down).
St. Maartin: Only been once - did 2-flag island tour (both sides of island)
San Juan: Got off ship and did free jutney around town and to two forts; walked around town

We are similar to you. Did the 4 day this Feb and are booked on this itinerary next April. We will have a 5 yr dd and 10 yr dd with us. We aren't booking any of our excursions through DCL. We are booked to do an excursion through Aristocat Charters for a day sail while in Tortola (snorkelling & paddleboard at 3 stops). They have really good reviews that I've read. In St Thomas we are going to go zip lining (direct with the company as they will let dd5 go) and then hop in a cab to Magens beach for a bit.

7 day Caribbean Cruises are da bomb! Especially the Eastern.... my favorite itinerary.
Spend a little time on your veranda when at sea and look for the flying fish. Pretty cool to watch. They are hard to spot but fun to see.
