I have this habit, Mom calls it a very, very bad one - but for some reason she hasn't called me to task for it yet. You see, we start planning trips and I realize that "If we add one more night, we can do..." So what starts as a nice long weekend suddenly becomes a weeklong trip.
I haven't figured out quite how that always happens!
So, what happens when you start with a weeklong trip? Somehow, this turned into a 14 night extravaganza! But then, Disney offered free dining, so to take advantage of the free dining at the end of the trip, we had to add one more night. Yup, that's right - we're up to 15 nights people!
So, quick itenerary:
9/8-16 - Coronado Springs
9/16-20 - Disney Wonder
9/20-23 - Port Orleans - Riverside
And, just so you know who you're dealing with:
Me (Michelle) 35, single, devoted aunt to several nieces, the DisBoard participant, Mickey fan and airline Employee (that played into some discounts along the way)
Mom (Vicki) late 50s, now single, Nana, DisBoard lurker, pin collector (not trader - collector)
Eve (my aunt, Mom's sister) early 50s, married (her husband gets a Hog, she gets Disney trips with us), her motto on vacations "Just tell me where to be and how to get there"
Because we're travelling standby on early flights, my aunt flew in Friday, the 7th so we could all be up bright and early for our flights! But those flights are the subject of the next installment...

But, we made it to Houston and quickly ran to our next gate.
Along with everyone else in the park at that time... We ended up weaving single-filed through the masses of people, and somehow walked on to Pirates. Well, not somehow, some sneaky person used the knowledge that often people will naturally end up in the right hand line when offered two seemingly-equal looking lines. In this case, once we rounded the corner, we walked straight to the boat! Love, love, love the Davy Jones effect! But we will have to visit this ride again later - we rode with a large group of teenagers that had a great time riding, but had to tell the one girl, very loudly, what was coming up the whole ride. Not really disruptive, but, well, it gave me an excuse to ride again!

trip on my ticker!!)
I tried to take a picture, but forgot to turn off the flash, then by the time I realized it and had fixed the setting, the score was resetting. I called VaTiggerGirl anyway! See, she's been holding her perfect score over my head for quite some time - not anymore, Missy!
So, we check in for our 7:30 reservation, settle in with Lapu Lapus (the divine pineapple drink), wine and our page to wait until they called us. At 7:30. Which was really all right. There was a fantastic storm blowing in (actually, it never made it to the Poly, just gave us quite a display); the nice man playing Hawaiian music started playing; and there was some GREAT people watching. I still have to wonder, though, that they absolutely could not have sneaked us in somewhere along the way.
