I went in 2014 for two weeks and it was my first time in the world since I was about 18. And whilst I had a good time for a variety of reasons it wasn't everything it should have been. So time for a do over!

I am doing it properly this time too. Well nearly, I'm not staying on site because I just can't justify it to myself, I honestly don't really feel a great need to be on property the entire time. I'm doing the airport hotel thing the night before my flight so I don't have to get up too crazy early to drive down to the airport. My flight is 11am ish. And I'm bringing out the big guns flying premium economy because it was silly cheap to upgrade. My hotel may be changing, I need to call tomorrow to see if I can switch to a condo for pretty much the same cost as the hotel I have booked.

I arrive on the 4th May for two glorious sun filled weeks (thank goodness because spring is slow to materialise in London this year). I'll be doing Disney and Universal and shopping because it would be rude not to.

I am also planning on attempting to vlog this trip. Which is somewhat terrifying because I'm a socially anxious agoraphobe (much better of late but still majorly limiting, solo tripping is actually easier in this respect for me). But I'm going to give it a fair crack because I like challenging myself.

Um, what else? Oh yea, most looking forward to pouttine (sp?) at Le Cellier and wondering if it's totally uncouth to order it when dining alone, heh.

You going to Disneyland in Anaheim? If so can I join you? I was going to go April 27 to may 2. If I can then let me know. Dex. 408-618-2508

I'm going to Florida. You might want to not advertise your phone number on a public forum.

Wow thats really exciting!! As a fellow brit who is trying to pluck up the courage to go to florida alone I will be very much looking forward to hearing about your trip! I was actually going to go in May myself, but have since booked a disney paris trip instead as a test run to see how I feel at the parks solo (and it isnt too much commitment for just a couple of days) Have a fabulous time, I am very jealous!! I was there this time last year and the crowds and weather were just perfect! xx

I had a really good time generally in 2014 but I have some issues and some events that happened when I arrived sort of threw me a bit (nothing to do with Orlando or anything!).

So I'm hoping to get a lot more done and just have a more relaxed and better time this time round. I am a solitary creature though and go for weeks on end without seeing another human so two weeks somewhere else isn't a big deal for me. I do most things on my own anyway! The only thing I get lonely about is missing my cats, it's always really weird sleeping without a cat on the bed, haha!

Life is way too short to wait for others to be free or want to travel with you so just do it if you fancy it.

Order what you want at LeCellier- they're very good and I like their filet a lot also.
We went to Le Cellier in January , ordered a lot of food, enjoyed it and naturally it wasn't a cheap meal. Next night we had breakfast for dinner and helped even out the expenses there.

So jealous of a solo trip! I'd love to do one, but there's no way DH would agree to me going on a big holiday to Florida without him! Have a fab time! Are you planning a trip report? I'd love to hear about your adventures!

I'm not sure about the trip report yet due to possibly vlogging and the work involved in editing videos but we'll see!

I'm planning on going down (only live 2 hours away) for a usual Saturday trip, either on the 7th or 14th. Let me know if you'd like a companion for the day.

I'm also down for a meetup or two! I live 15 mins from the parks!!

Either way, have fun!!

Sorry I never got back to anyone, I just ended up having an absolute blast and barely even checked in online!

Anyway, I did indeed vlog it and the first, not very exciting, first travel day is up if anyone wants to have a peek.

Welcome back! Glad you had an amazing time out there, and thanks so much for putting a link up to your vlog so we can follow your travels! What did you get up to? Any particular highlights from this trip? I hope you are not suffering too much from post Disney holiday blues! But must be nice to know that you will be back out there again later this year!! That is something going solo gives you the freedom to be able to do, just go when you want and how many times you want without worrying if other people have the money, the time or even the interest! :) xx

Post Disney holiday blues have been overshadowed by post Disney holiday sickness! Caught something from someone on the plane most likely and have been laid up all week really ill. If not the flu then a very very bad cold.

I am very excited to be going back although it looks like I might have to change my dates, regardless I know I'm going back so that will keep me going!

Although I planned fast passes and dinner reservations I'm just not one for planning and I ended up changing and cancelling loads of stuff, the beauty of the solo trip.

Hmm, highlights. The cronut in Epcot, haha! Oh and I met Tim and Jenn Tracker while out there too and hung out with them for a bit, they're so nice!

Hope you are feeling much better now! Did you have a good bank holiday? Oh how come you have to change your dates? Will you go earlier or later now then? I didnt know they had cronuts in Epcot, how did I miss that?! Sounds like you had a great time! What are your thoughts on Disney Springs then? Ive seen pics of the new area and it looks lovely! Did you bring much back? Im terrible for buying tons and then panicking at the end when I dont have enough luggage space and allowance for it all lol!
