I haven't been to the parks since entertainment returned. We're used to doing dining/dessert packages for shows but could not score reservations.

I would like to attend the second showing of WOC...do I still need a pass for that? How soon can we walk up and get a spot (I'm 5'5" so I don't want to be waaaaaay in the back)? What about Fantasmic? We want to see the fireworks in Star Wars land and then the second showing of Fantasmic (unless a spot for Riverbelle Premium opens up during first showing). I'm not crazy about Blue Bayou's new menu (RIP Surf and Turf 😭, lower price 😭, and included seat cushions 😭) but I am open to doing Hungry Bear if needed and if a reservation opens up. Where's the best place to watch the second showing if I don't have Hungry Bear, and how early do I need to be there? Would appreciate any insight!

THANK YOU!

We were there last week and managed to watch WOC at the 10:15 showing without even planning on it. We had just finished riding some rides in Cars Land and were just walking back to GCH after closing when we saw the show about to start. They had it roped off but later removed the ropes as there were not many people there besides the ones who had paid for the package and already had a seat. They did have signs to line up for different viewing but not sure if they used them as we got there late. We stayed off to the corner where we were since we were just tired and didn't want to walk down but a few people walked down to see the show.

Personally, I would not have paid for the 10:15 show

We went to Disneyland in July, and paid for the WOC dessert party so that we could have seats for the WOC. The seats were awesome, the pictures from our seats were beautiful, and we had the best time. However, what no one tells you is that California Adventures closes at 10pm, the second WOC show starts at 10:15pm, and the entire park clears out, but you’re allowed to stay for the show. We watched part of the second show a short distance away from the WOC dessert party, and it was free! The CMs are super helpful and direct you to the best places to watch. Wish we had known that before purchasing the dessert party! We might do it again though if we bring grandma next time.

I don't have experience with WOC 2nd showing post-reopening but historically, that area would be pretty empty so you just need to make sure you're in the park before 10PM and you should be able to find a spot. Ideally, you'd win the Virtual Queue for 2nd show and not have to worry.

For 2nd Fantasmic, if you walk over right after fireworks, you should be able to get an excellent first or 2nd row spot in the standing area over there on the left side behind the Hungry Bear viewing area. Most people are watching fireworks from Main Street so the area in front of River Belle Terrace gets crowded but if you watch fireworks from Galaxy's Edge, you'll be way ahead of those crowds for the area I'm talking about. You could slip in a ride on Haunted Mansion, Splash Mountain, Smugglers Run or Winnie the Pooh if you don't mind getting a 3rd row spot. Any other rides would probably involve too much walking or fighting crowds to be worth doing.
