SeaWorld To Build incredible new whale habitat

Seaworld is announcing a brand new expansion of it's killer whale habitat in all 3 seaworld locations. Check out these amazing artist renderings. I am really excited to see this expansion and can't wait to see the finished product!

I saw this story this morning and was wondering if ppl on the boards were talking about it yet. This looks amazing! I think it will be awesome and I love that it is much bigger!

I have not been to Sea World in Orlando, the only one I have ever been to was the one in Aurora, Ohio because that is where I grew up. It was always sad seeing the whales in such tiny holding tanks between shows - I think in the Aurora park too the tanks were even smaller than the ones in Orlando.

Once they finish building this, I think I will want to go visit Sea World Orlando.

Yes! The park in California will start first. Construction will begin on that in 2015 and it will take 3 years, due for completion in 2018. I have heard that Florida is next with construction starting in 2016 and ending in 2019 and Texas will be 3rd with construction starting in 2017 and ending in 2020.

I live in Tampa Bay and one of the local news channels (Bay News 9) was doing a story on the expansion and said the order was San Diego, Orlando, then San Antonio. They could be wrong though - just thought I'd mention it and see what others have heard. Also, it hasn't been as talked about but SeaWorld also announced they're going to be building a new sea lion exhibit and dolphin exhibit in San Antonio.
