Last time we went to Seaworld I was not impressed. It seemed that you had to pay extra for any little thing. The first time we went you could see and stroke the dolphins for free. Now they charge you for fish with which to feed them. We may go back this year but want to know if people think its worth it? I know the whales are excellent but there are only one or two rides that we like so do we go here or spend an extra day at Disney ot Universal/IOA?:confused3

They still have the dolphin area divided into a feeding area and a viewing area. You have to buy a tray of fish($7) for each person going into the feeding area-meaning a family can't buy one tray and let 2 kids feed the dolphin a fish. The dolphin do not hang out in the viewing area so hard to get them to come up to you over there. It makes feeding the dolphin a better experience because you don't have to battle all the people who crowd you to touch them as you feed them like it used to be.

The tower is still $3 if you don't have season passes and now they don't even give out the free beer.

There will be a new coaster this summer but SW is mostly the shows and exhibits so something tells me you still wouldn't be impressed. I'd head to Universal for the rides if I were you.

SW is a favorite of mine and I have been over 15 times. With that said the nickel and dimming is out of control. $7 to feed the dolphins per person, water was expensive, they sell you a refill cup, but charge you for the refills, it has gotten bad. I spent a ton of money there and I can actually recite parts of the shows.
With that said I love seeing the animals and always go. If your going to expect different from your last visit, don't. It's only gotten worse, so save the day and go to US

We always take a few snacks into the park. We also have the refillable cups and we switch off between just getting water or paying for a soda refill. Yes the cups are a bit pricey the first time round, but they are refillable at the reduced cost at any of the Busch parks year after year. We've been using the same ones for the last 5 years.

Can you bring a few snacks and bottled water into the park?

We do sometimes. My husband has trouble eating some foods sometime so he has even brought a sandwich in a soft side cooler. I get the BBQ and he eats his sandwich. LOL No one has ever told him he couldn't. Just no straws or glass allowed.
