Does SeaWorld give a discount for visitors with a disabilities? We're trying to decide if it's better to buy our tickets from their Web-Site early (at a slight discount) or if we would be better getting them at the park because I need to use a wheelchair at the park. Thanks for your help :) Christine

I don't know the exact answer to your question. The SeaWorld Orlando website does indicate that they have discounts for people with disabilities, but it doesn't say how much. Maybe someone else knows and will post an answer or their website indicates for general park information, you can call (800) 4-ADVENTURE, or (407)351-3600.

Hi Sue,

Thanks for your response. I e:mailed them to find out. When I hear back I will post what I find out. If anyone does know the answer, please let me know :)

Thanks so much - Christine

Yes sea world does do discounts not sure if it was 50% or 20%, apprently when i emailed them, they said that to get the discounts you had to purchase your tickets at the gate on the day you intend to visit.

I'd be interested in knowing the discount, too.
FYI, you can get tickets for $39.95 if you purchase 31 days beforehand at the SeaWorld website.
I think this is new, I didn't see this price when I checked earlier in the year.

Thanks everyone for the replies. I just heard back from them today. Here is a copy of what they wrote:

Thank you for contacting SeaWorld Adventure Park Orlando. SeaWorld Orlando offers a discount for guests with disabilities the discount is intended for guests who are not able to reasonably enjoy our park. Persons who are eligible
for this rate receive a 50% discount off the regular admission price. The current Regular admission price is $51.95 plus tax for adults and $42.95 plus tax for children ages 3-9.

I don't see why I can't "reasonably" enjoy their park just because I need to use a wheelchair in it??? They don't have that many rides.... Anyways, I think a 50% is wonderful!! :teeth:

we have gotten these discounts for our daughters, but almost feel bad asking for them! most of seaworld is easy for anyone to enjoy. Granted the roller coaster isn't, but the rest of the park is very friendly! also they have the best ecv's around!!! last time we went I just paid full price, i could see paying half if you are deaf or blind, but my kids are mentally retarded(if one has to have a label) and can fully enjoy a lot of the shows, even if they are scared of some of the rides. JMHO!

I see no reason a deaf person cannot fully enjoy Sea World. They do have interpreters available. You just have to contact them to set it up.

Sorry talking hands, wasn't aware they provided that service! Primary point was that my family was able to enjoy the park so we didn't bother with the discount, saving them for others who really deserved them. Each case is different of course, and even someone who had the same diagnosis as my kids might still want to avail themselves of the discount due to personal variations and needs.
