We are going to Discovery Cove in July. :woohoo: We booked a package through JW Marriott. The package stated we get to choose between SW, Busch Gardens or Aquatica? I know Aquatica is not usually included with DC, but, if it's not a typo, we might be interested!

It will be me, DH and DS (age 9). DS is not very tall. He is not tall enough for Kraken or Manta. I don't expect him to have a growth spurt that will make him tall enough between now and July. It will also be HOT Fl July. I think he would be able to do most everything at Aquatica. However, I know the shows at SW are very good. . .

Opinons??

Busch Gardens is great but if he's under 54" he can't ride the coasters. And BG is in Tampa, not Orlando, so you would have to travel over there.

Sea World is awesome, I would def recommend that over Aquatica since it's just a water park. "Believe" itself is worth going to Sea World. Beware of the Sky Tower, it broke down on me last time, it always breaks down. I don't mind heights b/c I love Kraken but I am a little claustrophobic.

Have fun, enjoy! Orlando is awesome. Make sure to take a dinner trip to Bahama Breeze, great food.

Did you book the Discovery Cove Ultimate Package? It costs more than the standard package and includes SeaWorld, Busch Gardens and Aquatica. With the standard package you choose between SeaWorld and Busch Gardens, if I remember correctly.

Is Aquatica in Sea World or are there 2 different parks?

Separate .... AQ is across the street from SW ... they call it the water park at Sea World but it has its own admission cost.

Note - last year (AQ was new) AQ typically closed the gates within an hour of offical opening (while they opened an hour early for season pass holders). The gates would reopen in the mid afternoon after some folks left. Just don't want you to go the AQ option then find you can't get in when u want to.

I've not seen a report yet of AQ closing this year (no longer new) but the schools here have another week or two ....

I really don't know. I know on the website it stated your choice between Busch, SW or Aquatica, so I'm assuming it is just a choice not all parks. We didn't pay a huge amount for the package (considering DC is expensive, anyway).

Did Aquatica for the first time last week, and was seriously underwhelmed. SeaWorld is always awesome, I never get tired of that place.
