Visiting SeaWorld on 10/30 for the day, looking for one day tour agenda on where to go first etc. to see and do as much as we can in one day.
Thanks.

Number of people, ages of any children? Are you rides people or no? (will you want to take in the two rollercoasters, Journey to Atlantis, etc.?)

Will you have Quick Queue?

For a one-day visit, I would strongly recommend the purchase of quick queue. Well worth it, IMHO, if you are trying to maximize what you can do in one single day, when you enjoy riding the rides.

With the purchase of QQ, I would hit the dolphin feeding (assuming that is something you want to do) at park opening, then plan the balance of your day around the shows. Between the shows, hit the rides with your QQ (which should mean little to no wait). Get the all-day dining so you can grab a meal or snack on the fly (Dine with Shamu is great, but it will take up quite a bit of your touring time on a one day visit).

One of the nicest things about SW, in my opinion, is that you don't have to have a super-detailed plan. If you put all the right things into place (all day dining, QQ, etc.) then go with the flow, you will probably get most things done if you keep moving. The shows are all awesome, so I would recommend you try to get in as many as you can.

We did Seaworld in one day.. saw all the shows, had early lunch at Voyager's Smokehouse when they first opened (found if you do it that way there's no queues, plenty of seating, the food's fresh and you get out of the sun for a while). We did the whole park and ended up sat with nothing to do for half hour waiting on check-in for dinner at Dine With Shamu. If you can book this when tickets first go on sale, you'll be sat poolside and is well worth it! Esp if you're celebrating something special like we were (my 30th!) and they bring you a slice of chocolate celebration cake with a candle on it and get the whale to give you a birthday splash (thankfully for me, it aimed wrong and splashed the lady at the next table! Hilarious! Not that she thought so! rofl!)

We did seaworld in one day including a tour. I guess it really depends on your pace. We were there the weekend of sept. 20th.

We had so much fun and pretty much walked up to everything we wanted to do.

One day is great for seeing major highlights and getting a good sense for the place. IMHO the two must do shows are Blue Horizons and One Ocean, so plan on those and do other activities around those.

Here's what DS (18) and I did (I'm 53) last Saturday for our one park day (Similar ages to your family) just in case that gives you some ideas. (1) We got there at opening and hit the new Penguin Exhibit (2) We hit the Blue Horizons dolphin show (3) next was time for rides -- one time each on Manta, Kraken, and Journey to Atlantis (4) Shark Encounter (5) early lunch, (6) Wild Artic during an Orca show (never go right after an Orca show unless you have quick queue), (6) One Ocean show, (7) underwater Orca viewing, (8) early light dinner, Gift shops, etc. (8) Definitely something to easily skip, but we felt like riding the Flamingo paddle boats so did that. // Headed out at 4:30 p.m. to do swimming / relaxing at our resort, so could have had a few more hours. It was 90 and humid though, so some pool time sounded great.

Some more fun venues we didn't do that we always enjoy include Stingrays, Dolphin Cove, and Pacific Point (Sea Lions). At all of these you can for a nominal price feed the animals too. The park has beautiful landscaping and is one of our favorites in Orlando.

Enjoy your day.

Will be crowds levels be similar to WDW for the first week of Jan?

SeaWorld has lower overall yearly attendance vs. the Disney parks, so a "crowded" day at SeaWorld is never as bad as a "crowded" day at Disney. That said, if attendance is higher than normal at one park at a certain time of year, the other Orlando parks will be generally feeling the same stress.

Also, SeaWorld tends to absorb the crowds better, as the shows can handle large amounts of people at one time.
