Been trying without success all week to purchase annual passports on ezpay from teh Seaworld website but kept getting told my credit card security number was invalid. Finally got in touch with Seaworld to be told this

I apologize that it has taken us so long to respond concerning your attempts to purchase an EZ Pay passport. After extensive research as to why the passes are being cancelled, this is what I was able to find out. Because of new contractual obligations associated with EZ Pay, the EZ Pay option is no longer available to our international guests. You may still purchase a one or two year passport; however, you would have to pay for the passports in full. Under our new company policy, you must have a valid US billing address in order to set up an EZ Pay account. Once the computer recognizes that your information is not a US address, you will receive the error message. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause for you.

As we work out the details, the message will hopefully be “you can not set up an EZ Pay account” instead of the “CID” message. I have made our Marketing and Finance teams aware of the errors that you have received while trying to set up an ez pay account. I will also share your concerns with our Senior Management Team for future considerations.

Thank you again for corresponding with our Worlds of Discovery Parks. I hope this is helpful and hope that you will enjoy your visit to the area! !

Not sure why Seaworld have now changed their policy (new ownership maybe?) - it's shame as the EZPay option was a good one for us in the past :confused3

Is it possible to use a random US address. I have done this before for registering on US sites. They only need it for the computer to accept the booking/order then everything is done by email and credit card. I have used DTD address more than once as well as our friends address at Hunter Creek.
I used Disneyland CA. address for registering on Ebay.com
Thankfully we always pay in full for Seaworld and Busch passports so won't affect us.

I wonder how this will effect already existing EZPay agreements?

I'm already on the EZPay system and it comes out of my US account. I'll have to monitor it and see if they are still taking the money...

Actuall now you mention it - I've used my address with a Kissimmee zip code (instead of my post code) to buy tickets from the WDW website before ;) They were special offer tickets tied to DH's participation in the ToT 13k run but would not accept a UK address (even though the race registration/payment system would). The payment went through just fine - might give it a shot :thumbsup2

I know this is reviving a semi-dead thread but I never posted whether I was still being billed.

Well, I've got an american bank account and the money is still coming out for our APs every month.

So I don't know if it's because the CC details are registered in Orlando, because when I accessed the AP website I used the zip code of Sarratoga Springs to gain access or if it's simply that it's only new applications are being denied, but my EZ-Pay AP still seems to be valid.

Admittedly I could get to Seaworld in March and they fail to honour the tickets, but I doubt that would happen. I'll keep you updated.

If you give out a random address, don't you run the risk of having this 'address' receive some future postal correspondance/mail, special offers etc in your name?
Suppose it depends , I wouldn't want for example a villa address where I was staying at to keep receiving mails/offers in my name.

The bar on UK purchases lasted about a month (until I came back from Orlando  ). Normal service has been resumed & UK credit cards are accepted again :)

I am sorry to hear that we were not offering EZ pay option at the time when you emailed us. I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. The EZ pay option was only recently extended to our international guests. I hope that you will be able to use this tool when it’s time to renew your passport.

Didn't have to give an address, if I had I would've been unhappy giving SSR. Just the zip code.

Cool, then I guess all's well that ends well.
