Hey WISHers! Thanks for the cheers! I tracked down the other WISHers at the starting corrals, and then got a text message from Lily saying that everyone had a great time, after the race! We sure had a fantastic race, with a new PR of 2:24:22 and NO PAIN! The course was great, with just enough hills to challenge, but not enough to be obnoxious.

Everyone else has gone for dinner now but I.... well, I broke the cardinal race-day rule and took a nap, and didn't get her text until 3 hours too late. :rotfl: Oh well, our dog was a ball of stress by the time we got home this morning (which is why we had to take off early and didn't see the others finish) and I think he would go looking for another pack if we left him at home again tonight! :lmao:

I'm sure other people will be in to report later, but there's my update!

I got home at just before midnight last night. We live 300 miles away from Seattle and it feels longer in a van with 4 kids. lol.

Seattle is one of my favorite cities ever, but I was just not into the whole thing this time. I was tired from the trip and some van troubles were stressing me out. Forgot sunscreen because last time I ran there it was rainy, so I just wasn't thinking of sun.

It was such a beautiful course (got to see a bald eagle) and I love how people there get their kids and dogs out there to cheer on the runners. :) Didn't love the bands on the course. Somehow the song, "Your Cheatin' Heart" just didn't get me into the running mood. :rotfl: There were a couple bands that did wake me up and get me into the groove, though.

Saw Anne at the finish with other WISHers, but didn't stop because my family was ready to just get on with the day.

It wasn't my slowest run (Disney was), but it wasn't my best either (Seattle Half was). I finished in a painfully slow 3:30:53. I really should commit a bit harder to training.
