Thats my hometown! (well around there) I <3 it there!

It was my first time there. I'd love to take DD back for a vacation. Its also a great place to people watch too. The only think that bothered me was the amount of homeless/beggers. The fish market was fun. Didn't ride the monorail...that's a Disney only attraction. lol

Some places I ate...Chinooks, PF Chang's, Cheesecake Factory, and The Crab Pot. Had my first bowl of Clam Chowder at Chinooks, now i'm hooked. :)

I head up and watch alot of Seahawk games in Qwest Field. It was ranked the best NFL stadium in the NFL.

Funny, we spend a lot of time in downtown and don't run into a lot, not like when we're in Portland which seems to have a much larger homeless population. (I'm from Portland originally so it's not a dig at the city, just an observation) Along the waterfront here there do seem to be more and certain areas of downtown but we've never had a problem.

Pike Place is fun though very touristy! We do stop down there for the comic book store for DH if we're going to the aquarium. The monorail sucks here anyway! I'm not a fan! And Westlake is an ok mall but nothing to write home about!

Best clam chowder hands down is Ivars, you can't beat it! YUM! My kids don't like much in the way of soups but give them a sourdough bread bowl and clam chowder and they'll plow through it like it's their last meal!

Thanks for the pictures! Seattle is one of my favorite cities. Haven't gotten to visit since dh's grandmother passed away - she lived in Gig Harbor.

If you're downtown - make a visit to one of the big, old department stores. Nothing like those in this part of the country - just the same old stores in cookie-cutter malls. I used to love Nordstrom there.

I would like to go there one day, as a lay over on my way to Hawaii

Mmmm...food.

"Try the grey stuff its delicious, don't believe me ask the dishes. Soup de jour, backlava..."

I did my best on spelling. I love that song.

Cool pictures! Seattle is great. We got to spend a few days there when we took our Alaska cruise last year. We had gorgeous weather, we were told that we were very lucky to see it! :)

My first trip to Seattle, I remember being so disappointed in the Space Needle. Isn't it much smaller than you imagined? It seems so much bigger on TV. It isn't even the tallest building in Seattle! The CN Tower is much more impressive.

Seattle is a beautiful city and the restaurants are excellent. I miss it and the coffee stands on every street corner ;)

Well, now you've done it!!!! According to my brother, who lives in Snohomish, most people in Seattle, including him, try to keep 'outsiders' believing the weather there is always yucky!!! It's been beautiful every time we have visited. But, then again, I haven't been there in March yet! I just love the Seattle area. Love being able to see Rainier in the distance. So beautiful. Thanks for the photos.

It's raining today :umbrella: and it's foggy out here, cold too :cold:
