8 days! Aaaand we're down to the second row! How is time flying by this quickly?! I just can't believe it! (You'll probably hear this 50 more times)..
Anyway, this week is our difficult week. Matt has a LOT going on at work, with their NY office in town, and I'm just trying to take things day to day around here. We figure our most difficult days are today and tomorrow. By Thursday, we're winding down into the weekend, so we're just trying to get through these two days. This evening after dinner I need to give Matt a haircut because his hair is getting way too long and out of control. That boy has some mighty curly hair, and it's not easy to cut, but I think I've actually gotten really good at dealing with his hair. It's something I like doing, even though I get nervous, just because I've gotten better at it.
I myself actually made a pedicure appointment at my favorite salon for Monday. I am fortunate to have Monday off (Matt doesn't), so I'm spending the morning getting my toes made all pretty and then getting a haircut. My hair has gotten SUPER long, so what better time to get it cut than right before our vacation? I'm pretty excited to have it be a few inches shorter again because it's gotten really annoying to deal with.
So last night Matt and I were talking a LOT about our trip and we came upon the agreement that although we have plans for a few days and have ADRs, we are going to wing the rest of our days. We really truly loved getting up in the morning, looking at my Lines app on my iPhone, and then deciding from there where we'd want to head off to. It was such a nice way to spend out vacation, not having to worry about HAVING to be anywhere, but rather WANTING to be somewhere, or not! This is why we vacation in Disney World in January and also go for 10 days; it allows us to not NEED a touring plan of any sort and we have so many days to enjoy the parks that we don't feel the need to rush around.
We talked about all of the attractions we missed last time and I'm kind of surprised at how many we didn't make it to, for one reason or another: Splash Mountain, Mickey's Philharmagic, The Tiki Room, Snow White, Winnie the Pooh, Star Tours, Tower of Terror, Soarin', Test Track, Astro Orbiter... I'm sure there are others I'm not thinking of right now, but those are the ones I know we are planning on going to this time. It seems like we missed a LOT, but I think that says something... You can still manage to have an amazing time in Disney World, even when you miss some of the more "major" rides in the parks. There's so much to do and see!
While I told Matt of all the attractions, and got to Soarin', he stopped me and said, "No, say it correctly, the Stacey way..." and we laughed really hard as I waved my hands in the air and said "Sooooaaarinnnn'!" I just love that my husband actually remembers some of the crazy antics of Stacey. He also made me say "TEST TRACK BABY!" as well. We are such dorks; these are the things we do while we're laying in bed at night.

Oh one last thing I wanted to show off. My in-laws gave us this beautiful framed pin set to put up in our house and I'm really happy to have it. It's a limited edition set (only 2500 exist), so I'm excited to put it up on our wall once we get back from our trip with any other art we pick up.

Onto the photo challeeeeenge!
Day 24: A picture of your favorite Disney-related possession or souvenir

This is our Disney Gallery of Light 3D box that we got during our honeymoon. We love this scene a lot in the movie itself, so when we saw this piece of artwork we knew we had to have it. It's really beautiful and sits on our mantle over our fireplace, along with a picture box I got Matt for his birthday of the Hitchhiking Ghosts from the Haunted Mansion. These are such cool pieces of artwork that always get people's attention when they come over our house.
