Seattle Amtrak Station

Um, I may have made a rather large scheduling error...... Our flight is supposed to land at SeaTac at 7:50 p.m. on Sunday, October 19 and our Amtrak bus is supposed to leave from the Seattle Amtrak station at 9:15 p.m. - which is the last bus to Vancouver, BC. Is this even doable? I don't know what I was thinking! I just checked on Map Quest and they are 14 miles apart - about 20 mins driving - so assuming everything is on time and we get through customs quickly, we are supposed to be at the station by 8:45 p.m.

Yikes - not sure if this can be done??????

Unfortunately, you are SOL. It will take probably 30-45 minutes to get from SeaTac to the Amtrak station (even if theoretically it should take 20). If you can't change your airline tickets, I would suggest staying the night near SeaTac (much cheaper than Seattle) and coming up in the morning.


p.s. The train is far more pleasant than the bus.

I figured I'd be in poop on this one Oh well, now hubby will be driving us and picking us up that night rather than me trying like crazy to fix my huge mistake - thank goodness!!!

OH bummer! I was going to suggest staying overnight and catching the actual train up the next morning too, but if you gotta get home, you gotta get home!

Oh boy, that's really tight. I don't see how you can get through customs, baggage claim (if checking bags), and get a ride to the Amtrak station in less than an hour. However, IF the planets line up just right for you...IF your plane's early, IF customs is a breeze, IF you don't have to wait for a ride...then it MIGHT be possible. But I wouldn't count on it.
