Seating times after park closing

Jan 23 DHS closes at 7pm. I see however there are dining times at 7:30 and 7:45 at 50’sPrime time is this common or does this mean the park hours will be extended?

We have a 7:55p at 50s Primetime with HS closing at 7 on Jan 11. I'm wondering how this works too?

I've seen a few comments on the boards saying dinner reservations have been going to 2 hrs past official park close. Maybe they're taking reservations up to an hour after close and leaving an extra hour for late reservations to dine. Parks will be empty on our way out then

You might have a problem getting a bus back to your resort that late.

They have been doing this at select restaurants for a while now. They won't leave you stranded if you are staying at a Disney resort, you shouldn't have any trouble getting back.

These dining reservation times are the best! We recently ate at Be Our Guest after the park closed and were the last ones out of Magic Kingdom and got all kinds of really cool pics with no one in the background. We also found the service and food was better because it was less crowded and everything was amazing! I would snag up any after park hours reservations you can. They are seriously the best.

We had a 7:45 reservation at 50s prime time the week after thanksgiving , I think it was Tuesday. The park closed at 7pm, some of us finished up shopping while the rest of the group rode star tours , getting in line around 6:50pm. We met up at 50s at 7:40, there were still people lingering on Hollywood blvd, but security would not let you go back towards galaxy’s edge or toy story land, only forward toward the exits. They were waiting to clear a table for the 8 of us, we didn’t get seated till 8:10pm. It was the best meal !! ( having been there over 12 times) Our waiter was from Morocco and funny, another large family of 16 were in the room behind us , he had them laughing too. We even got dessert, thus, not leaving the park till after 9pm. Sure enough the park was quiet and we made our way out with many cast members waving at us. It wasn’t until we left the entrance stands, that a lady asked us where we were headed and radioed to the bus ahead . Then we were told we were the LAST FAMILY leaving the park that night. How cool. Wish we would have gotten a button or something. So yes, it’s true they know how many people are still in the restaurants and will always have a bus or I’ve been told a van available to take you back to your resort,

You might have a problem getting a bus back to your resort that late.

They will run buses as long as there are guests in the park, regardless of closing time.
