Seating Question

I was wondering - if we showed up at a resaurant early (Liberty Tree Tavern) would we be seated early if they could manage it? Or do they wait until your reservation time to seat you?

Sometimes they will try to seat you early ,not like an hour or anything but we have gotten in half an hour early.If the restaurant is a very popular one or it is free dining it might be different.

I have reservations at 6:50 at the Liberty Tree Tavern on the 1st night of MNSSHP. I wanted to change it to an earlier time so we would be finished eating when the party started and we didn't miss anything but when I tried on line, there was nothing earlier avalable. So I thought we would just show up a half hour early and hope for the best I'll keep trying to change it too. We have 4 months and people cancel all the time.

Absolutely worth a shot! We've done that many times at Chef Mickey's and had no problem! Good luck!

I've done it before - they'll try but if they are booked and everybody shows up for their ADR's, then there isn't much they can do.

You are 4 months out however - keep trying to get what you want.

I always show up anywhere from 15 - 45 minutes early for my ADRs (it's a sickness - I just don't have the patience to wait until the ADR time) and am almost always seated prior to the actual ADR time. Most recent experience with this was during a week long trip last month during Easter Week. We showed up early and were seated prior to ADR time for every ADR we had.
