I have a friend going with a group of people. She was wondering if part of the party arrives at the restaurant will they seat you or wait for the full party to be present?

I think the policy is that everyone must be there before they will seat you, but it varies depending upon time of day and how crowded the restaurant is.

I am pretty sure it depends on the restaurant....2005 we were in Alfredos and they didnt sit the family because they were short two... but a family was seated at Chef Mickeys w/ only a few and there was more people meeting them...

My experience at many different WDW restaurants is that when you check in they ask "Is your entire party here?". If not, they don't even put you in the queue for a table and ask you to let them know when everyone is there. I'm sure it's because the restaurants are just too busy to have a table with only part of a party sitting there not ordering because they're waiting for others to arrive (finish riding a ride, etc.)

So my experience is that they will not seat you until the entire party arrives.

It has been our experience that you need to have the entire party there before you will be seated. We have had to wait a few times or reduce the number of people before we would be seated.

We spent 9 days in WDW with both my parents & DH's...altogether we were a group of 8.

We had a TS meal every evening & one breakfast.

We were told time & time again that they would not seat us until our entire party was there...no exceptions.
