Who gets seated first in this example:

Family A - Reservations at 5:30 pm and arrives at 5:10 pm
Famiy B - Reservations at 5:15 pm and arrives at 5:20 pm

Basically, are you seated by your reservation time or your check-in time?

Thanks!

It depends on what size the parties are and what table opens up first. If both parties needed a 4 top table, I'd guess Party A gets seated first, because party B checked in later.

It's not a reservation, it's more like "call-ahead" seating, really - you will get the next available table for your party size. The person checking in first would normally get the advantage, I think.

I think it depends on if there are tables available when family A arrives. If there are, they may seat them first. If there is a long wait, they would probably put them after the earlier reservation times.
