seating on buses

I will be staying at ASM and would like to know about travelling on the buses.
I have a problem with balance and cannot stand whilst the bus is moving, so if it is full will I need to wait for another bus or is there any disabled seating or can the driver hold a seat ?

Do you walk with a cane? You may be able to pre-board the buses at the same time as the disabled guests in wheelchairs and ECV's. This would allow you and paart to board the bus before the rest of the peple.

There is a sign above the front seats that asks people to give up these seats to people with disabilities. From what I have read, it's not required that people vacate these seats if someone with a disability boards, but if you have something visible like a cane, most times someone will give up the seats voluntarily or you can ask the driver to ask.
The "preboarding" of buses by guests with wheelchairs or ecvs is because the driver needs to lower the lift and/or secure the wheelchair on board. I've never seen pre-boarding of people with canes, etc. You always have the option of waiting for the next bus if the first one is too full and you don't feel comfortable boarding it.

Preboarding for people with canes is not done. If the bus is full you will need to wait for the next bus. You may be better off using your own car in your situation.
