Seating at Artist Point

I just called and made most of my ADRs for my upcoming long weekend trip in March. My DH and I will be there for 4 nights and we're celebrating his birthday. I got all my desired ADRs at the times I wanted - was I lucky or is it easier to get ADRs now?

When I made my ADR for Artist Point, the CM stated I needed to make any special window seating requests at the podium when I checked in for dinner. I was not aware there were any special views from the windows!?! I'm a bit unfamiliar with the layout of Artist Point and I'm wondering just what kind of views one would get from the these window tables? Is it possible to see Wishes from the restaurant?

My DH and I have never eaten here. I want this dinner to be very special since we are celebrating his birthday. Does anyone have any comments, positive or negative, about this restaurant?

Wilderness Lodge does not have views of the fireworks unless you are in certain rooms over the otter pond. The restaurants definatly do not. I wouldn't worry about the window seat. It will be dark by the time you eat so you really can't see much anyway. The food is great and frankly, most of the seats are good so I wouldn't worry about it too much.

I really like Artist Point. I love the salmon and berry cobbler. Service has been good too. I especially like the hostess Eleanor; she's really nice.

You can't see Wishes from the restaurant. If I want to see the Electrical Pageant, I'll walk outside.

Artist Point is lovely. Like the other posters said, don't worry about getting a window table. The whole restaurant is very nice. We dined there for our 12 anniversary a few years ago. It was such a nice experience. The salmon was fabulous. They have a nice wine selection as well.

Artist Point rarely is full even though the food is great. In april 2005, I was able to walk up 2 times without ADR's.

AP is one of the top restaurants on disney property. Being at a window, really no big deal but people seem to want to sit there. We have been many times and AP is a favorite of all our family and friends we take there.
