Seat assignments..can you switch?

With all these new rules and regulations, do you have to be in the selected seat assignment that you have or is it ok to change with family members when you are on the plane?
A couple of us get air sick and I want to make sure we get window seats.

Once you are on the plane if a seat is available you can pretty much switch. You can switch with family members regardless. DS, DH and I always end up with DS in window, DH in middle and me in aisle, regardless of who is actually assigned where.

PanAm might be the only carrier giving people a hard time about switching at all. But IMHO they won't be in business by the end of the year anyhow...
