Seasoned/Veteran Disboarders-can you help??

Now that I've made my reservations and booked the AKL standard club level savannah view, will I be getting information in the mail about our reservations other than what I've printed out on my home computer? I've read things about when you checkin to tell them you are concierge and they take you to another floor to check-in, etc? I'm just trying to find out all the information regarding my room choice, etc and the whole AKL offerings. I wished desperately that I could find some pictures from someone that has stayed in the room type I've booked and pictures of the club level lounge, etc. Am I to request a certain room or does the club level have so many rooms blocked off that are good choices, that you can't go wrong with any of them? What floor is the room type that I've chosen? I'm just trying desperately to find out as much information as I can now that we've booked. We LOVED the whole theming of the AKL and that is why we chose it and also chose the club level because we want to book the Sunrise Safari. Is there an e-mail that I get in touch with for concierge staff? Thanks for any direction you can give me.

Oh FairyDust, sorry I can't help you, but I know you went round and round in trying to decide where to stay! I don't see how you can go wrong with AKL; I have read many good reports. Can I ask what steered you away from the mods?

Now that we've booked, I'm just trying to find out more info on the desired club level room we chose but I can't seem to get much clear answers/pics or really anything about it. Makes me wonder if anyone has ever even stayed in these type of rooms, LOL As for why we chose deluxe AKL over moderates................CSR just seemed too spread out in too many buildings and having to walk everywhere, their pool refurbishing questioning dates of when it will take place, played a huge part in the decision as well. POR/POFQ with the pool/dragon slide, just seemed a little too kiddy for my kids who are 9 and 11. No balconies in moderates, smaller beds, everything not being in one building and not as many amenities. Also, just the fact that we LOVED AKL and in the end, it was the one that stole our hearts I have no regrets in booking. Just desperate to find out some more information on the room choice we booked but I'm not going to get too worried about it. AKL looks like a LOVELY resort and with all the animals, the pool, the ambience/atmosphere, food, etc I know we picked the right one I'm just mainly concerned as to where the room type we picked is located and how the views are but I checked out kimmar's threads and they have been of GREAT help so I'm not too worried anymore. Just had some questions, etc. Have a great day

I am also staying at AKL for the first time in December. There is some great information in the resort stickys at the top of the Disney Resort page. There are three stickys just for AKL I have learned alot from them. There is info about Club level, offerings and the Safari's that you can get by being on club level. Good luck planning!

We booked AK club level savanah view for our stay in Oct....I booked it about 7 weeks ago and have not received any info from WDW. The only way I am getting lots of info is by the Dis!
