Seasoned travelers, need your help!!!

Please help me pick between option A and B

We are cruising the Wonder after our trip to SW and WDW. We will be arriving back in port on Sunday. Flying home Sunday.

Option A. take the 1:40 flight home. Leaving the ship, and in a relaxing manner go to airport, and yes, there is a wait, but I know we won't be "rushed" which is a very good thing for DH, he doesn't like anything that puts stress/rush on him. THis flight is $120 more than B.

Option B. Take the 5:40 flight home. Go to KSC in between. We would do the Lunch with an Astronaut (this is the main thing I want to do) and hopefully put in the basic tour. The lunch is at 12:15 so I don't know that the rest of the KSC wouldn't be rushed, before or after the lunch. I don't think we would get in much of the rest of the place. And I have no idea about transportation as well. Is the extra $200 worth it? Also , I don't know what we would do with our luggage. That is the Bigger concern. DH would probably feel stressed that we wouldn't make our plane(actually I KNOW that is the case). This flight is $120 less, but we would be spending $ at KSC.

If you would choose option B what do we do with our luggage?

We won't be heading to florida for a LONG time, but I think I am trying to Squeeze in too much, should we just skip KSC? and make it a relaxing end to our trip?

Well, Vija, my personal experience is that most things involving movement from place to place (driving, parking, walking, etc) take longer than planned. Being rushed at Kennedy sure would take away a lot of the joy of the visit, I think. You would have something to look forward to on your next trip. Also, would things be in a more curtailed mode there, as for things to see, with the Columbia not that long ago? Just thinking there.

That's the option I would pick. I hate being rushed on the last day of a vacation.

Check out the Disney Cruise Line boards. Almost all the airlines will check your luggage and issue boarding passes at the cruise terminal when you leave the ship.

This doesn't make your decision much easier, but hopefully it will make you feel better to know that your checked luggage won't be a problem.

I would make time for KSC another time too. You will be tired perhaps from all your vacation so far and maybe even getting on each others nerves. Also if you push yourself a lot on Sunday when you go back to work on Monday you will feel very drained.

Vija, I agree that trying to squeeze KSC into such a short timeframe would be difficult and stressful.

You have a wonderful trip planned- you'll start with SW and WDW (very active and tiring fun), then get all pampered and relaxed on the Wonder. I would try to keep that relaxed post-cruise glow going as long as you can!

Try to make the arrangements going home as stress free as possible. I wouldn't plan anything for that day...
