Seasonal pass versus Power pass for renewal

We currently have Seasonal Passes and were able to use them on two trips. We will be going back in November after they expire in October, so I was planning to by tickets from UT, but it looks like the renewal rate (not including tax) is about $50 less than an UT 2+2 park to park ticket. We will be staying onsite again.
As I was scanning down the benefits it listed Room discount only applied to Power Pass and above, but we got it at HRH earlier this month and I even showed the girl my green Seasonal Pass. Is this right?
A Power pass was listed as about the same price as UT tickets (before tax) so that might be better to get at least one for the room discount. We live far away and don't go during the black out dates. Anything like Mardi Gras concerts that would block us out of a park with a Seasonal Pass in November (Veterans' day weekend)?
Can I renew to a Power Pass from a Seasonal Pass?

As of now, all the passes get the resort discount. I've read that the new AP info is being released tomorrow.

Interesting, when I look from my phone it does show the room discount for Seasonal Pass, but when I was searching on my computer it showed a chart and there was not a check mark for room discount. I've still got a while before I would renew anyway, so I guess I'll see what changes tomorrow may bring.

Would there be any concerts or surprises blocks for Veterans' Day with a Seasonal Pass? It isn't listed on the black out dates but concerts aren't listed either.

No concerts that I know of, blackouts I doubt but I have zero experience with the seasonal pass.

We received the room discount with seasonal pass this month. I bought the pass for the room discount so I would imagine there would need to be some grandfathering in if they were going to just take a perk like that away from those who've already purchased the pass. Interesting development though.

It has a checkmark on hotel discounts on their website. I don't see any changes.
