I apologize if this post doesn't belogn here but I vaguely remember there being certian times of the year when food prices, only buffets?, were higher. Like around July 4th... chrismtas. I missed that in our trip last summer but now I think I may hit it last 2 weeks of June--- can anyone point me in the right direction?
I was thinking of buying the DDE for my quick january trip and maybe the basic ddp (1 ts, 1 cs, 1 snack) for June--- if prices were elevated then as the DDP is the same price, no matter,; and using the DDE to fill in... or if I have split stays, only using the ddp for one of the stays...
Thanks Jill

Usually seasonal pricing for buffets affects the entire month of June. It runs from just before Memorial Day to just after the 4th of July.

Check Allears.net they have a whole page about seasonal prices:thumbsup2

information from this site:

During seasons of high demand, Disney raises the prices at most of the prix fixe restaurants.

Below are the restaurants and dates when you can expect to pay more. On average, it's $4.00 more per person ages 10 and up, $2.00 more per child ages 3 -9.

* May 25 - July 5, 2008
* November 22 - November 29, 2008
* December 16, 2008 - January 3, 2009
* April 5 - April 18, 2009
* May 24 - July 11, 2009

Restaurants:

* 1900 Park Fare
* Akershus
* Biergarten
* Boma
* Cape May Cafe
* Chef Mickey's
* Cinderella's Royal Table
* Crystal Palace
* Garden Grill
* Hollywood and Vine
* Liberty Tree Tavern (dinner)

The actual prices and dates may change but it's a good guide.

You can also go to Allears.net type in seasonal dining prices in the search and when the page comes up click on #8 and it explains it well. Good Luck!

Sure hope the dates don't change because a lot of restaurants we are planning to go to are on that list. We paid dearly last year it would be nice not to have to again. Last trip we spend a fortune. A lot of things went wrong, which brought up a lot more extra expenses on top the the surcharges on the meals. :sad2:
