I'm hoping someone will be able to help me with this. I know I can email Disney with it, but I always feel like they get probably get asked the same questions all the time.

I finished my Career Start program last May & worked a few days as seasonal before I came home. I got my seasonal ID before I left. I went down in January to work as seasonal & I'm going back in August for another CP. I was costuming during my last program & will be this time as well.

I know I won't have to go to Traditions, but how do I get my CP ID or do I just use my seasonal ID? Will I have to go to access control to get it? Also, I've still got my nametage from my last program, but I'm assuming that I'll be getting a new one since this time I'm doing the College Program, it should have my college on it, not my hometown. Will I just get my new nametag the first day I work?

Thanks in advance if you have any info!

You can technically keep your seasonal ID, and I would because then you don't have to worry about bringing a photo ID with you everywhere. Otherwise, you can pick up your CP ID at access control, but be aware of their limited hours.

When I checked in for my most recent program, I was not offered a new nametag as I was still active (campus rep). You can order a new one from costuming for a few bucks or exchange your old one for a new one at no charge.

Thanks so much for your help. It's not a big deal for me to have a photo ID with me all the time with the CP ID cuz during my last program, I just kept my housing ID on one side of my lanyard & my disney ID on the other side of my lanyard. I was hoping that I could keep my seasonal one since I want to go seasonal after my program ends again & then I don't have to deal with getting a new one again. I have 2 nametags with my hometown on it, so I might just trade one of those in for one with my college on it.

Just an fyi for you. If you have a red ID, be sure to ask your new manager if your ID will be excepted for the ENTIRE LENGTH of your internship. I had a red ID prior to my PI and was told it was fine because it was current/valid. Then about mid-November (I was a Fall PI) I found out that my ID would not be accepted as of January 1, 2010 to get me past security, even though my program ended on January 7th. I had to go to Access Control to get a white ID to last me to the end of my program, then go back after to get my red ID back because I was seasonal again...

I realized that my red ID wouldnt be good the last week of my program & I wouldn't be able to get a sticker for 2011 because I would still be in the computer as CP, not seasonal. Were you able to keep your red ID & just get a new sticker for it once your program ended or did you have to get a whole new ID again? I know it's not a big deal to get a new one again when my program ends, but I know Access Control isn't open over the weekend & I'm not sure how long after my program ends I'm gonna be in Orlando before heading home.
After my last program, I went to get my seasonal ID the day I moved out of Chatham since I was working that weekend, but they said I couldn't get it yet cuz my status wasn't gonna change till the next day, which I was working & they were closed cuz it was a Saturday. I ended up going Monday morning to get it, but my family was with me by then.

Several of my fellow PIs and myself asked our manager if she could call access control and get us stickers for our red IDs. However, when she called them she was told we weren't even allowed to have the red IDs since we weren't seasonal status anymore. So I had to give up my red ID for a white ID to finish my program, then go back to access control to be issued a new red ID. No you cannot keep your red ID because when you go to access control to get your white ID, they take your red ID from you. When you switch back to your seasonal status, you will have to go back and get issued a new red ID. I hope this answers your question!
