Seasonal AP holiday trip fail...

It has been a hectic week at work so when I saw that I could grab a night at Cabana Bay for $114 on Saturday Nov. 16th I went ahead and booked it as a solo weekend getaway. Looking at the Universal Orlando website just now I saw that seasonal passholders are blocked out at USO every weekend from November 16th through December 15th due to the Mannheim Steamroller concerts! Argh! I knew about the blockouts from 12/21 through 1/3 but forgot to check the calendar for concert dates.

I was so excited to book this trip but am not sure it is worth it without access to USO. I would really like to see their take on the Macy's parade and Diagon Alley all decorated and with the special Celestina songs. I'm out of PTO so can't add a day. For anyone who has been, is it worth going just for IoA's holiday offerings? My AP will expire in September 2020 so this is my one chance to visit in winter with my AP. I guess I could upgrade to a Power pass - would I just pay the $60 + tax difference at the gate? Currently planning on going at least one more time for a HHN trip next fall.

Suggestions welcome!

We're going the week after you but for 4 nights with Seasonal passes, so having 2 days where we can't go to US is not a big deal. It would cost $240 for the 4 of us to upgrade. I couldn't imagine going just to IOA and missing US entirely, so I'd pay the $60 to upgrade the AP. We saw the holiday setup two years ago at Thanksgiving and really enjoyed the feel of the parks at that time of year.

As it turns out, it was all much ado about nothing, because I DO have a Power pass already...must have had a brunette moment there! Thank you for the encouragement anyway, as I was all set to spend $60 to upgrade. Now I have $60 in my budget to spend on a nice dinner for myself!
