Seasonal allergies at PORS

Question...
My son and I both have seasonal allergies and I am wondering if staying at the hotel is going to be an ok choice for us. I never even thought of this until we finally made our decision! Uh-oh!!

Can someone please help me, our allergies consist mostly of tree pollens, rag weed. We are from WI and right now it is not the best time for either one of us after the rain we just got and after not having rain for over a month

When are you going? My hubby and I both suffer from allergies- mainly spring and fall. When we went in Oct of 2010 and stayed at POR, we were both fine for the 5 days we stayed! Didn't need to bring out the claritin even once. As soon as we got back home.... BAM! back to taking allergy meds.

I don't know if this helps, but I thought I would share.

We are going to be going in Jan/Feb '13. I didn't know if the tree pollenation was any different than Wisconsin. Thanks!!

Our son has very bad tree pollen allergies (mainly maple, oak and other hardwoods) and he's never had a problem when we've gone in early - mid February. Not sure when tree pollen season is in Florida, but they definitely don't have the variety of hardwoods that we have in New England. Our tree pollen season starts in in late March and usually ends by mid-June. I don't know what medication (if anything) you usually take, but we've had pretty good luck with Zyrtec (and the generic equivalent from BJs) over-the-counter.

Thank you so much!! That actually is the same med that we both take. Thank you for the advise. That takes such a huge burden off my shoulders. I was happy we finally decided and then thought uh-oh what about all the trees!!
