My family is traveling on the Sept. 12th Wonder and are a little worried about seasickness. I have a 3 year old and a 7 year old, so some I need to make sure I have something to give them. I can't find a certain thread that I saw a while back that went into pretty good detail about seasickness options. Can anyone provide a link to that thread or give me some information? I've already got some Ginger capsules and my physician gave me a pescription for Phenergan, which I can't give the kids and a friend said had some pretty negative side effects.

Any information would be appreciated!

Thanks,
kcla

For my 3 and 4 year olds, my pediatrician recommended Benadryl. She said traditional sea sickness medications tended to act unpredictably in young children.

Turns out we didn't need anything, even though DD3 gets car sick almost every time we go somewhere. She didn't even notice the ship was moving.

We tried children's dramamine the first time our son flew and instead of making him drowsy it seemed to hype him up. He didn't take anything on the ship as he was fine.

My wife complained the ship being “rough.” I told her that the Wonder was smoother than the ship that I was on in the Navy and I was on a carrier (USS Guadalcanal LPH-7). What’s the point of going to sea if you can’t feel it.
