Looks like we will be staying on Deck 2, Cat. 9 stateroom. Does anyone know if you are more prone to seasickness on Deck 2? Also, anyone stayed in 2068, 2070 or 2072? Thank you so much for all the help everyone provides on this site.

we were told that the stabilizers are down that low we stayd in 2516 and had no problem whatsoever ...

Conventional wisdom is that the lower in the ship you go, the less motion you will feel. So Deck 2 is probably a good place for you. We actually stayed on Deck 1 and except for one night, the gentle rocking of the ship was very comforting to us as we slept.

You should be prepared with some sea sickness remedy. Try it before hand to make sure it doesn't cause any strange reactions. My father and I both took Bonnine (on separtate trips) and we both broke out in an itchy rash.

Good luck to you.

THis is true...THe lower the better...We have been on decks 2, 6, and 7, and we felt the motion the least on deck 2.....

Haven't stayed in any rooms around your area, you might try the stateroom report sticky...Hope that helps.. :goodvibes

We stayed on deck 2 midship. No problems at all, but we also had very calm seas. It might matter what time of year you're sailing too. :flower:

We were in room 2070 on our most recent Magic cruise. Perfect location. Did not feel any motion.

Thanks so much for all the replies. As usual, you have provided me with much needed, great information!!!

DW and I have stayed on Deck 2 three times and have had no trouble at all. In fact, we will be on Deck 2 again in November.

I did have one of those staterooms and there was very little motion, most of the time.

On our return to Port Canaveral, the Captain announced there would be high seas. Then it wasn't really rocking motion in the cabin. It felt like an endless elevator. Slowly up and then slowly down, all night. I took Meclizine as soon as the Captain made the announcement. I never felt sick and the motion was easy to sleep through.
