Thought I would start a pre-trip report, being as I can't sit in the garden and enjoy the sun as it is RAINING.Again. So not too long to go now, the kids have been driving me mad asking 'how many more sleeps' etc. This gets a bit wearing after a while, and it has been a while as I booked this holiday 12 Years ago!!!,
kay... maybe 12 Months ago, but its been a heck of a long time getting here! I have reseached, planned, plotted and schemed to get to this point ( several times- more about that later
).
Well, I suppose I should introduce the gang, would be rude not to!
Me, Andrea ,37 planner, worrier - 'I just think I will check that again'
DH, Chris, 44 driver,porter,waiter.etc...'did you say food & drink festival?'
DD, Meg, 10, loves a guy from HSM, amongst others! want to go to a 'mall'
DD, Mimi, 5, 'pink' crown firmly in place. wand in hand
Ok, here is the scheming bit...having noticed that Disney were offering free dining, I went forth and gathered various brochures from the local travel agents. After plying DH with plenty of wine I produced said glossy brochures and screen dumps of the costs from Virgin website - that I had made earlier( Blue Peter moment) Being a man that likes his grub, didn't take much convincing!
So, having got the go ahead from DH and DD's School (taking girls out of school for two weeks -yikes what a rebel I am ), I went ahead and booked on 2rd October 2006.
Somehow, Virgin managed to send me about 8 invoices, over the next few Months which added together totalled approx £27,000!!!! not a cheap holiday then ! We joined the Frequent Virgin Club and got 10% off as well- nice one! Anyway, I only paid 1 invoice, which brought the cost down tremendously. HAHA.
Then, just as it was all going so well, DD5 got a VERRUCA. ARRRGGH. 'You can't take that into America' I sceamed ! 'We'll have to leave your foot behind!' After several traumatic visits to the doctors : cream, freeze, cream, more freeze....we finally killed the little beast and it has gone. Amen.
So, after much more plotting and planning, ringing disney to make ADR's and spending every spare moment on 'THEDIS' boards ( 'whats that? your hungry again?, yes of course you can have 3 bags of crisps a pile of custard creams and a crunchie for dinner )
I finally have the finished and polished the plan ( I think- might have a few tweeks here and there) This will be our 4th Trip, Meg's 2nd and Mimi's 1st.
Without further ado, here it is:

OK, I know I have missed out universal parks, but I need an excuse to return right? I am also planning on making full use of the FREE DDP and refillable mugs etc. Did I mention that the dining plan is free? Also, we hope to return to the hotel during each day for a little R'nR'. It is a holiday after all. !!!
I have also started packing! this is because DD5 is a magnet for tomato kethcup and ribena splodges and I would like some of her clothing to be clean.
I have also purchased a new camera and have been merrily snapping away.
Sadly I had to inform the dog that she would not be able to join us on our trip, as I simply could not be doing with poop-a-scooping around the MK! So she has been booked into kennels. Don't have to worry about the Rabbit as she snuffed it... ( Hey,! I was upset at the time and she was a ripe old age ) or the Hamster, also pushing up the daisies (not so upset as he wee-weed on my carpet!)
Here is said dog: okay, okay i will try to bring back Pluto's bone!
There you have it. Our 4th Trip in the making.
