Search, Update, or Continue at 8 am?

I’m staying at my home resort next January so I have no modifications to make, how boring

Next month, I will be attempting to modify a November reservation once the 7 month window opens up. We have one of our home resorts booked. Do I want to click "modify" and "check availability" before 8am and then at 8am click "continue" for the dates/room that I want?

Nope get logged in click modify, and search for your resort, room type and dates and click modify at 8 am.
I look at my iPhone's clock and click as soon as it shows 8 am.

awesome! thanks so much. this will be my first time attempting to modify at 7 months. I'm excited to see if I can snag anything, but if we're at SSR this trip we'll be ok with that too. we're 1BD people so it seems like that should help some with availability.

I've owned at AK since the 5th floor converted to DVC at Jambo House. This year is the first time I have been absolutely shut out for months trying to get the coveted Studio Value Room - no cancellations for walking seen either. I suspect there is some super duper secret software that is just a millisecond quicker than me. Bitter - Table for One!!!

I certainly believe that!! When I was trying to get AUL this summer it just kept vanishing for all inventory even ocean 1 bedrooms!

Just adding a data point that I was trying for Grand Cal recently. I would click refresh a few seconds before 7 am central time and it would be gone before I could get it. I tried the next weekend having everything selected then clicking continue right at 7:00:00 on the world clock and was able to get it.

I too enjoy the gamification of the reservation system when I'm looking for a change. Today I was successful in switching from our home resort of BRV to BCV for the Epcot MM event.

I was so busy end of Feb that I forgot to modify for MM at HS in Sept. Looks like Im staying at my home resort for the 1st time!

Were you ever successful? I'm hoping to get AUL next summer at 7 months, any 1 bedroom view for 5-7 nights and anytime June-mid-August. I know June would be next to impossible, but I didn't think July-mid-August would be too hard to get but maybe not.

I ended up with reservations for my whole trip but I was moving every night. Studio to 2 bedroom to 1 bedroom to 2 bedroom to studio etc.
This was for June and I ended up cancelling them all as that was just too much moving.

July & August are much higher point wise so it should be much easier.
