Search Question

Is there any way to search just within a certain thread? Sometimes within a long thread, I'll be looking for something in particular and I can't remember what page it is on - so I go to each page and use ctrl-f (find within page) to look for what I want. But is there an easier way?

Not a big deal, just wondering.

You can do a "keyword" search Mary.

Just enter a word that you know is in the post you are looking for, select the board the post is on from the drop down menu, make sure to select the search entire post option, and click search.

You can further refine the search by including the posters username.

I guess I was hoping there was some way to search within a particular thread. For example, the 'Gardening' thread on the community board is over 80 pages, so when I perform a search and that thread comes up, I still have to search each individual page before I find what I am looking for.

As far as I know, there is no way to search within an individual thread.

Put the wording for which you are searching in the box under Search By Keyword. Under that, in the section labeled Search Options and under that Search Forum... in the pull down box, select the one forum that you want to search. Then click the buttons out beside "Search entire posts" and "Show results as posts". This won't just search one thread but should narrow it down quite a bit.
