Search Location For Haleigh Cummings Is Now A Crime Scene

Police declared the search location, at the St. John's river, a crime scene. They also said an arrest in the case will be made soon. They brought both Misty Croslin and her brother to the search location yesterday. They had found something the other day, but authorities did not reveal what they found. It seems this lead was credible.

Yes, that's the one. The dad, girlfriend and her brother are all in jail on drug trafficking charges...a very upstanding family.

I always assumed that he was involved in her disappearance as well, so maybe that's why he married her... so that they couldn't testify against each other.

That doesn't work when it involves a child.

Well, I know that and you know that, but the couple might have felt differently. Besides, once he went ahead and married her after all that had gone down is when I suspected he was just as involved as she was. I read one rumor that said that the child got into their drug supply and OD'd. That would make sense considering their lifestyle. I guess time will tell.

All I see on the Sentinel is this: The grandmother of Misty Croslin told The Florida Times-Union that she received a phone call from Croslin's brother in jail last weekend. He told her that a cousin, who now lives in Tennessee, took 5-year-old Haleigh Cummings in February 2009, according to Jacksonville.com. The cousin denies it. P.S. Haleigh's dad and Misty have since divorced, and they've both been in and out of prison for weirdo drug/theft issues.

How very heartbreaking . I've always thought the family knew what happened . If sweet Haleigh is gone, may this little RIP safely in God's loving arms and the sickos finally get their punsihment.

Putnum County Sheriff announced today that the tip to search at the boat ramp on the St. John's river came from Misty Croslin's brother, Tommy Croslin. After a two hour questioning period, Tommy took law enforcement to the location where the search took place.

Something was found, but the sheriff will not say what it is. They are waiting for forensic examination to be completed. The sheriff did say that he believes Haleigh is most likely dead. He will not say anything about an arrest other than they have persons of interest.
