search help is needed!

I can't figure out how to search for abbreviated terms such as "CBR" or "POR" because they are only 3 letters and have to be 4 for the search to work. I have also tried to search for reviews on "land / sea" and that didn't work either. So is there a way to add a space in the term so the search will work?
