We live in Oklahoma, so we rarely get decent seafood. In fact, I'm not sure my boys have EVER had decent seafood. I think, based on other postings, we will try Dixie Crossroads when we are over by Cape Canaveral. We were thinking about trying Boston Lobster Feast when we are in Orlando, but I've read mixed reviews on it. I really would like a buffet because I would like the boys to try a variety of things- and they really want to try lobster. Plus, I love lobster. Are there any seafood buffets you would suggest over Boston Lobster Feast? We are not terribly picky- the seafood we get here is terrible- dry, chewy, tough and flavorless.

the seafood you get at these places is overcooked before they bring it out to the steam table/warming lights, they're overpriced tourist traps. buffets and seafood doesn't work, it's a terrible idea.

We have been to Boston Lobster Feast 2 times....I perfer the one on Orange blossom Trail over the one on 192. Although it has been years since i have been to either. But, The food was OK, most everything is fried if i remember correctly, but we do like the Lobster, it is decent for the money, i usually eat about 6, and my DH ate about 12 or more. Just dont fill up on all the extras, the deserts are yucky! save the room if you want desert and go somewhere else!

The seafood buffets here will be quite like the seafood you get in Oklahoma.

Dixie Crossroads is fun. It's old Florida. Not my favorite place, but ok.

Actually, given the lackluster offerings here, Red Lobster is ok IF you order fresh/live seafood. Don't do the scampi and scallops and that sort of thing. It's not nice at all, but the fresh catch of the day or live lobster are pretty good.

BlueZoo at the Dolphin will work very hard to give you nice seafood. Sometimes they even succeed.

For the best seafood, head to Maine. Yep. Young's Lobster Pound, Belfast. :teeth:

Dixie Crossroads is really good, my mom loves the rock shrimp, and the crab we had was great! The steaks were really good too! We are also looking for an all you can eat crab leg.......we have been to the boston lobster...crab was good, drinks...well dont waste your money on the drinks...parents said the lobster was not that great...but i at enough crab for the whole table...i filled 4 of the large bowls with empty shells :)

We loved boston lobster, we got their early bird discount. The buffett was fresh, hot and not over cooked. We went to the one off I drive back in may of last year. We thought for the money it was a real bargain. Lobster, crab legs, shrimp and all the fixins plus dessert(we thought it was good too). Try it and enjoy!!!
