We were there in September on a quiet day mid afternoon and just walked in, there were only 3 or 4 other families in. This was our most expensive meal of the holiday ($95 2 adults 2 kids meals, desserts and drinks) but food was more upper class than most places over there and the setting made it definitely worth it - thought we were on a James Bond set! Kids fries came in a shark pot which we got to keep.
One word of caution - I ordered tuna (lovely) and then felt uneasy about eating it with all the large fish swimming next to us!!!! Next time I'll order chicken!

Hi Shellbell
When we were there in Dec last year we went up to the desk just outside and booked our lunch for the very same day and to be honest it wasn't that busy. We did book though as soon as the Shark section opened just to make sure we could get a table.
The food was very nice but I did think that the menu was a bit limited and pricey for what we had. I am hoping to make reservations before we go in October for the evening meal with Shamu.
Hope you enjoy it

When we were there on Easter Monday they wouldn't allow us to make a PS for dinner that day. When we went to see if we could get a table at dinnertime the wait for a table for was over 2 hours!

We ended up leaving the park (getting our hands stamped on the way out) and going to eat at Steak and Ale. We then went back to the park.

We're looking to do either the Dine with Shamu or the Under water Grill - Any one been to both - Which do you think was best??

We went to the underwater grill about 2 weeks ago. I'd highly recommend it. The setting and the food were great.
We were told on a previous days visit to Seaworld that a booking for the Underwater Grill couldn't be made until the actual day we wanted to eat there. So on the day we wanted to eat there we went to the grill as soon as it opened. We were the 2nd people in the queue yet when we asked for a 12 o'clock sitting they said they were full but they'd squeeze us in!??
It was busy and when we left there was a queue.
So be prepared to get there v. early to book and even then you may not get the time you want.
It's definately worth it if you can get in.

Sounds silly but be aware underwater grill is predominantly seafood for anyone like me who doesn't like fish...had a great time but food was limited. I would still go again though.

We also did dine with Shamu two weeks ago. This was fabulous we were sat right next to the water. Food was very good. The only thing I was sad about was that we had to leave. We then walked round to the evening show and watched Shamu rocks. This was brilliant. We saw it twice. I can honestly say I was very close to tears both times. Very emotional.

Both meals very good. My partner loves fish and gave underwater grill max marks. For me it has to be Dine with Shamu as that will always be a very special memory.
