What should we do??? Traveling with 2 adults 3 kids (4,6,8). No one is into the big rides, expedition everest types. The kids will survive on midway type rides...like tea cups style. From the sound of how busy it is supposed to be (and how crowded I hear AK gets in the walk ways) would we be better off at Sea World. The kids love animals and I think they would love all the animal shows at Sea World.

We have been to both and love them both. We found Sea World to be a more relaxed day and really enjoyed the animal shows there. There are several shows you can pick from such as Shamu to Pets Ahoy! There is also a very cool underwater shark viewing area that my son adored!
We love Animal Kingdom as well and we go there every trip...there is alot to see and do from a petting zoo to a safari as well as rides, shows and the scenery is beautiful!
It will tough to pick between the two, hopefully that little bit of information helps...good luck and have a great trip!

I love both parks, but Sea World has a lot of little kids rides that at least your 4 and 6 yr old would like. The animal shows are wonderful at Sea World and you have more animal interaction there too. I love AK for Lion King and Kali Rapids, but Sea World is more of a value if you had to chose. I was at Sea World a few months ago for the day and the customer service was wonderful, better than AK.

For me, spending a minimum of $260 to $280 ($65 to $75/ticket) for one day at SeaWorld would be the deal breaker.

My dd8 says Animal Kingdom was her favorite park. She LOVED EE (went on it 4 times, and had never before done a roller coaster before WDW. I also thought she wasn't into thrill rides; your kids may surprise you! lol ). She adored the Nemo musical and the Lion King show. The petting zoo was a big hit, as was the Safari and Kali Rapids. We ate lunch at Flame Tree BBQ that day; she got a big kick out of all the birds hanging around watching for dropped food. She didn't like Dinosaur (scared her silly) or "It's Tough to be a Bug" (also scared her, and she really liked "Honey I Shrunk the Audience at Epcot). We've never been to SeaWorld so I can't compare the two. AK is definitely a different feel than the other three WDW parks; much more relaxed and laid back. We really enjoyed talking to the CM's within AK; it's amazing how knowledgeable they are.

Money isn't the issue for us this year...normally it would be though. We are only doing two days in Orlando, so it was going to be MK and AK. Dropping AK and doing SW actually saves us like $15. If we were doing the longer tickets, I don't think that I would spend the extra money.

For me it's SW hands down. But that's b/c I'm more into aquatic animals than land animals. I can spend all day at SW at just the stingray lagoon and dolphin cove.

As much as I luv DW, I prefer SeaWorld to AK. We enjoyed the shows, dining at the Shark Restaurant and viewing the Beluga whales and walruses. I loved the Shamu show and seeing the baby orca whale swimming along it's mother. We had a great time the last time we visited. We also stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn which was within walking distance.:)
