Hi there! We will be going to Sea World in San Aontonio this July. Just wondered if anyone here has been there...what did you think of the park? Do they have any "dining" deals that we should try? Should we try to eat with Shamu? Do they have a cup you can buy and then pay the re-fill fee? Sorry so many questions! One more though...does anyone ever get special deals on tickets??? Any help with all these questions would be great! :goodvibesThanks!!!:wizard:

We live here so we go on a regular basis. Yes, they have the refillable cups (which haven't changed in several years). We don't usually eat there, other than lunch, so I can't really comment on that. Personally, I don't find their food all that great however. The water park is included in your admission so bring your suits! July in SA is hot. Ticket prices are lower than SW Orlando. Basically, one day is the same as a season pass. They also have a great deal if you also go to the Florida parks (or the ones in other states)....a two year season pass to all the parks (except DC) is $199 (includes preferred parking too) but you have to activate it in SA first.

Thank you so much for the reply! :goodvibes We will definately get the refillable cups! We will bring our suits - nice to know. :cool1:We also thought about packing a lunch and eating in (in the AC) the car or something...but that may be a big hassle, we might just stay in the park if it's that hot. How is parking there? Is it quite a walk inside?

As with any theme park, you should try and get there before it opens and then you'll have a really close spot. Most of the time they let you through the turnstiles before the opening time. When we were there a few weeks ago we were able to go in, see the cydesdales, feed the dolphins and see the sharks/aquarium all before the actual opening time when the first group of rides (the kiddie ones) opened.

Hi Wdwtx, I'm also here in SA. Cindermomma also don't forget that not too far from Sea World is Fiesta Texas. Part of the Six Flags co. So if you have a season pass to Six Flags you can use it at Fiesta Texas. Both parks have water parks attached to the park. My son like Fiesta Texas better because he loves the roller coaters and all the rides. My daughter however loves Sea World because of the animals. It will be very hot in July so make sure you are drinking lots of water wherever you go. My son tends to dehydrate quite often in the warm weather. Not fun, he gets bad headaches and vomits. This can shut down your day at the parks very fast. Just keep lots of water in you. Umbrellas walking around the parks also help keep the sun off you. I hope you have lots of fun! San Antonio is a great place.

This is a GREAT deal if you think you will be going to the other parks also. It's less than half the price of the same Platinum Pass if purchased in Orlando.

I was at Seaworld SA a few weeks ago, and if I was thinking properly, I would have cancelled my current Platinum Pass (which I've had for many years), and purchased a new one in SA. It would have saved me $3/month, and given me access to Aquatica (which my current Platinum Pass does not include.)
