Anyone purchase a "fun card" from Sea World? The website seems to not give a lot of info about them. Are there any blackout dates, etc? It seems like a really good deal if there aren't any blackout dates, since you pay one day's admission and can come back all year. I know that you still have to pay for parking-- is there anything else I'm missing?? We were planning on spending at least 2 days there this summer, but with this card, we may plan 2 separate trips to SA-- maybe one this summer and one in the late fall. Anyone who's purchased one of these and knows more about it? TIA!! --Katie

we bought these for 3 out of 4 of our family members. We bought 1 annual pass so we could get the free parking and food and merchandise discounts.
No blackout days as far as I know. We were there for spring break.
Annual passes are good for 365 days. Fun cards expire at the end of 2010.
Typing on my phone. Feel free to pm for more info.

We bought the Fun Passes last year and did what the prior poster did. Got 1 annual pass for the free parking and merchandise/food discounts. No blackout dates that I remember last year. The annual pass goes for a full year from the date activated and the fun Pass is only good for the calendar year season - so the last operating day of 2010.

We did the same thing last year with the one AP/3 fun cards.

It is a great deal for us except that we spend a fortune feeding dolphins and sea lions and birds every time we go.

I'm glad I asked here. As usual, you guys are brilliant :goodvibes!! I never would have thought to buy one AP and 3 fun cards, but when you do the math, the difference in the AP price equals 2 days of parking, plus you get other discounts! Sounds like a great idea!! What discount do you get on dining and merchandise with the AP? Thanks so much, guys! --Katie

Usually 10 percent. Occasionally they'll up it with special coupons you can find online.

How often do you plan on travelling to florida?? Because if you purchase the platinum pass on the ez pay plan, it's about 8$ per person per month, and it gets you access to ALL of the parks across the nation. There's many people that live near another Sea World park, but go with the platinum for the occasional trips to Florida.

It is a two year pass, and after your two years is up, you're locked in at your current rate on a month to month basis. And buying a platinum from San Antonio is the cheapest, only like 200$. Plus there's greater perks for platinum passport members. Which could really make a big difference when you visit the parks here.
