Has anyone purchased/used the Sea World photo key. We are thinking of purchasing and I believe it is $99 for the annual one. Can you actaully download the pics from the key and print them?

I did purchase the annual photokey from SeaWorld, and this is my review.

I am not happy with the product, and yet I am not upset that I purchased this product.

For one, they have a lot of bugs that still need to be worked out, and I am saying they have a lot of bugs.

First thing you need to know that no animal interactions is included with the photokey. You will need to fork over even more $$$$ to get those photos.

At times, it is hard to find a photographer. For an example, their website lists Sky Tower is a place where you can get your photo taken. I have been there twice, and there was no photographer there both times to take my photo.

The main reason I got photokey came from the fact that I was going to do the Beluga Interaction Program. After paying for the photokey and then having to pay extra to include the photos from this experience, I was not a happy camper.

After handing over the money, I was told to tell the photographers so they could automatically add the photos to my account. I told the photographers that I had this, and they told me that I would need to go back to the photokey kiosk and have them add the photos to my account.

So I went back to the kiosk, and the person added the photos to my account, but this person only added a small percentage of the photos. I had to go back again to the kiosk to have the rest of the photos added. You could say that I spent too much time that day at the photokey kiosk.

Another issue they they have is that they like to add a surprise to some of the photos, so they have you hold out your hands like you are holding something. The issue is that you must go back to the kiosk so that the surprise will be added to the photos. If not, you look like an idiot because you are looking into your empty hands.

The annual photokey also includes Aquatica (and the reason why I got the annual photokey). Again, good luck in trying to find a photographer. I went to the kiosk again to complain about not finding a photographer, and no one at the kiosk gave a damn about my complaint, and told me that I need to talk to one of the photographers. I found out that they have four photographers there the day that I attempted to get my voice out. One was at the entrance, one was on break, and they had two other photographers handling the rest of the park.

In the four times that I have been there, I have yet to see a photographer at one of the slides, pools, rivers, etc... They are there, but you have to be very lucky to be at the same place at the same time.

Now for the website, you can download them. The issue is that you have to download each one individually. There is no download all button. Also, the photos on the website are so small that at times you cannot tell if someone has their eyes open or closed.

This being said, I am content that I got this because I wanted the photos from my time with the Beluga whales.

I also recently purchased Photokey, but at the end of my week at SeaWorld & Aquatica. We spent 3 or 4 full days at SeaWorld and 2 full days at Aquatica. We rant into literally a handful (maybe 4 or 5?) of photographers at Seaworld over the course of our visit and had them add the pics to the generic photocard given to us on our first day when getting our picture taken with the Shamu character at SeaWorld's entrance. At Aquatica we rant into 2 photographers taking pictures on the lazy rivers, they would take your picture and throw you a wrist band you would then take to the Photokey kiosk to add to my generic card.

We ended up with 3 or 4 separate generic photocards that I had to add when we finally purchased the PhotoKey (I think it was $150). They could only add the pictures one at a time from the generic photocards, which I thought was a little odd...no "Ctrl + A" to select all the pictures? Anyway, I make mention of this to save y'all some time. If you plan on getting the PhotoKey online account, then do it at the beginning of the first day so all your pics can be added directly to the account rather than burning over an hour at the end of your trip to add the pictures individually to the account.

Because there aren't many photographers in the parks I can't say the PhotoKey price has much value. It's nothing like Disney in that you could end up with hundreds of pictures at the end of a trip if you wanted to. But you can download all the pics to save and/or print out. But again, you have to download the pics one...at...a...time. When you have over 100 pics on the account that takes some time sitting in front of your computer.

I'd purchase it again because it's worth it to me to have the pics of the children and entire family on vacation, and we aren't the best at taking good pictures of ourselves when on vacation. But I could see why some people wouldn't think it's worth it.
