Thanksgiving at Sea World or Universal Studio? Where would you eat? What highlights should we not miss that day? We are planing visits to all Disney world parks earlier in the week. DD didn't like Spider-man and not much on scary rides.:scared1:

We did Islands of Adventure last Thanksgiving and it was a MADHOUSE! There were times you literally couldn't walk around Harry Potter area. That was our worst park for crowds our entire trip (11/23 - 12/1)

Between the 2, I would head to SW. Whole stadiums fill up instead of putting a few on a ride in an hour. There will be big crowds so you will need to get to shows early but you can have a great time.

I don't know that any places there will do turkey dinners, but maybe the Shark restaurant will. I don't know if you can get reservations before entering the park. check their site. Sometimes they do special meals in the picnic area, but don't know if they do it for Thanksgiving.

Otherwise I would eat at Voyagers and have the BBQ chicken platter. We have never been there on Thanksgiving so don't know if they change up the menus for the day.

I would try to get there for opening and stay till close that day. That will give you a better chance to see things than if you plan to eat elsewhere and leave at 4 or something.

I think IOA is out of the picture now and SW will be where we go. I assume that U Studio's will be as busy. I'm just not sure where to eat for a nice sit down meal.
I'd like to find somewhere there a step up over fast food.

Thanks "Rabflmom" I'm going to check on Sharks.

Another idea would be the Makahiki Luau. It's a dinner show at Seaworld. It doesn't serve turkey for thanksgiving, but the food is pretty awesome and the show is awesome too. Here is some info on the Luau and Sharks since you were interested in that too.

Sorry to jump in here, but we'll be there the entire week of thanksgiving (11/17-11/25) Was it this busy just on thanksgiving day or the entire week? We are staying onsite at Universal so I'm not that concerned about lines there, but I've been going back and forth as to which days to go to Seaworld. I've also been wondering about thanksgiving meal... it doesn't have to be turkey, but I would like it to be nice! First have to decide in which park we will be that day!

Any day before Thanksgiving is usually slow. Try the Monday or Tuesday before Thanksgiving for the lesser crowds. It gets busy the 3 days following Thanksgiving but dies down again the following Monday.

Thanks! We'll def plan on Monday and leave Tuesday open in case we have to go back to finish things we missed. I'm hoping there are short lines and we can get things done in one day.

To OP, I think we are going to have thanksgiving dinner at the new Brazilian restaurant at Citywalk... Definitely not traditional but it should be nice/special for thanksgiving day!

I second the Luau at Sea World. Went there last year and it was amazing. Already made the reservations for this year. The park wasn't really busy either.
