If someone could help please.

Changed our reservations again...now we're at ASM for the WDW portion of our trip, and without reservations for the last 6 nights.

The 2nd part of our trip includes Sea World, and other small attractions...I do not know the area well, though I am checking my AAA tour book etc....

If anyone can recommend a hotel/suite in the area of sea world/universal that is a "budget" but safe/clean hotel...READ that as CHEAP!!...

Please give good and bad.....I appreciate it!

What dates are you looking for? That can always affect the rate.
How many people?

We stayed 4 nights at the Marriott Garden Inn over NYE...TERRIBLE beds...thin walls...best amenity of the place was the fact you could walk to SW. We paid 89 a night, and thought it was MAYBE worth 59....and then only due to Xmas season. It was basically clean tho, so I guess that is also a plus. Safety....not too sure about it....people were holding the "key" entry doors and back parking lot doors w/newspapers etc. I couldn't wait to get out of there. BTW, the *heated* parking lot pool is about 65 degrees.

sometimes you see the Renaissance on some of these websites for $80 a night - this is a 4 star hotel - so if you see at those prices grab it.

this is one across the street from the Renaissance.

you can also sometimes get a good rate on Hilton Grand Vacation Club across the street from SW - they will give you a special rate if you do their sales pitch.
www.hgvc.com

there is the Hilton and Sheraton World over behind the Renaissance. but I think they are both overpriced (at least the rates that I have seem) for what you get.

Universal is pretty far from SW and I don't happen to like the area as well. but you can probably find a better bargin there.

here is a post on Universal - that you probably missed

had some problems with work

here are the ones closed by AAA

Hawthorn Suites Orlando *** $79-$189
Travelodge Orlando Convention Center *** $78-$98
Sleep Inn - Convention Center ** $60 - $80
Sheraton World Resort *** $199-$279
Hilton Garden Inn Orlando At Seaworld International Center *** $74 $109
Renaissance Orlando Resort at Seaworld **** $157 - $179
Residence Inn by Marriott SeaWorld International Center *** $87 - $208
Hilton Grand Vacation Club at Seaworld *** $69 - $399

if you belong to AAA - check all the ads - sometimes the ads will have a much lower reduced price - that is not showing in the listing - you need to mention what the ad says and if need give the code (some have codes - some don't).

if you have a car Marriott Grande Vista is not far.

I got the Renaissance Orlando Resort for $69 a night through Priceline. That was for a Thanksgiving time stay. Very easy to walk to Sea World. This probably doesn't qualify as a 'budget' hotel but it's nice. Very upscale.

woops forgot the important info

4 people- april 24-30

price line wont work, as # of beds is never guaranteed

I've checked Best Western movie land...now working a search for that...

Keep the ideas comin!

We stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn Sea World over Christmas, and we loved it! The only drawback, in our opinion, was the transportation. We were less than thrilled with the surly drivers who pretty much demanded tips, and the erratic pick up times from the TTC -- but if you're going to SW, then that may not be a problem.

Anyhoo, the hotel is very very clean, the staff is helpful and friendly -- we enjoyed it a lot. In fact, we'd probably stay again, if we had a rental car.

After making my ressies with Priceline, I called the resort directly and had my bedding request noted on account. No problem.

I was thinking of the Fairfiled Inn on Westwood.

Personally, the OP could stay at ASM . Its only a 5-10 minute drive down I4. (In heavy traffic less than 15)

Hi mudnuri!

I saw that the Residence Inn has a 21 day advance purchase rate for a studio (with 2 queen beds) at $88 per night, plus tax. This does require pre payment, and would be nonrefundable/non changeable, but at least it's an option. This hotel is located down Central Florida Parkway from Sea World (w/in 1 mile).

There is a Sleep Inn closer to the convention center at $66.45 per night plus tax, but I don't know about this hotel - I have seen the Residence Inn (I used to live on Central Florida Parkway).

The Residence Inn on Westwood Blvd. is VERY nice. We stayed there last year, and are staying there again this year. The pool is really nice, and they also offer a free breakfast buffet. The rooms are nice and spacious, and the beds are actually pretty comfy. You can get special rates on Orbitz or Expedia all the time. You should check it out.

we have only stayed at the Blue Tree Resorts with sil and bil and kids, they did a tour so they got a 2br for around 100.00 . the kids had the sleep sofa. we really liked it there alot. but it was also in JAN. we also stayed at Fantasy World Club Villas and we liked that to. it had little kit,br w/wash,dryer, dining room liv rm. and 2 br and br up stairs. it was nice. we drove to Sea World both places. im not sure if they buses or not to any places. check out prices to with AAA if you hae that. my other sil and bil own time share at the Vistana, they love it there. we saw it but did not stay.
