Sea Turtle nesting at Vero

Hello!
Does anyone know when the sea turtle nesting period is at Vero? Last August when we were there a CM told us that during the nesting period, people weren't allowed to use the beach area. We are going in April. Will the sea turtles be nesting then? Thanks!

I'd give the resort a call and ask them.

We've been at VB in May and in August. Both times there were beach walks and talks about the nesting turtles. If there is a nest, that area is roped off. If they are not going to allow people on the beach, that would have to be for a long period of time.

Generally speaking the nesting process goes from May through September.

I think there must have been some misunderstanding concerning not using the beach. We've there many times during nesting period and as bobbiwoz said they just rope-off the nest area which is about a 6 foot square at most.

Have a wonderful trip and don't worry about getting to use the beach.

We can't wait either, we have a 3 night VB visit coming up in March! It's been too long between visits for us! Last one, Aug. 05.
