We are thinking about going to Clearwater for a day on May 19. The Seascreamer looks fun!

I was wondering, do you pretty much always see dolphins?

Do you think there's a better time of day? 12, 2, and 4 are their options.

Where should we try to sit to see best? Where do you get the wettest?

Will it feel cold on the water? (trying to decide what sort of clothing we need to bring).

And I assume they provide life jackets?

We'll be staying on Disney property and plan to just rent a car to get ourselves to Clearwater. Is this the best way or is there some sort of transportation or package deal that I might not be aware of?

Thanks for any info!

I don't know the answer to any of your questions, but we've had very good luck seeing dolphins from the beach there.

I don't have many answers either, as we have never done this one, but we HAVE seen dolphins along the coast quite often. We always take a drive south of Clearwater to Johns Pass and see quite a few there. Also, we drive south to Honeymoon Island and get on the Caladesi Ferry to Caladesi Island State Park where we always see dolphins on the way over.
You should have lots of opportunities if the dolphins decide to come out an play! :thumbsup2
Captain Memos Pirate Cruise in Clearwater Beach is a fun 2 hour ride a little ways into the gulf too. No dolphins for us, but the kids LOVE it!:)
Clearwater Beach is about a 2 hour drive from WDW. On the return from there, we always stop at Showcase of Citrus to pick oranges too!
LOTS to do on the beautiful gulf coast!!
