Was wondering if anybody that stayed recently can clarify the age to drive the sea racers at FW. I've read its still 12yr and 5ft, but heard through the threads its changed to 16yrs with valid DL.

Also, what the cost for the Famliy Plan is ... I can't seem to find a Disney site with this info listed.

Thanks,
Cheryl

The last time we were there it was 16 years old. Quite a disappointment to my 6'2" 15 year old at the time, considering he has been driving them since he was twelve.

I was just there, and they've changed it back to 12. Unfortunately, they've slowed them WAY down, so you can't even get out of the way of oncoming ferries and pontoon boats. My DS15 got hung up on the mud flats by POFQ because the wake of a passing ferry pushed him there.

Of course, I was told by the CM at Cap'n Jack's Marina (where we rented them) that the ones on Bay Lake and Seven Seas Lagoon can go much faster, because of the much larger space. However, I don't know if they put an age restriction on the faster boats.

does anyone know are the sea raycers at the campground are the faster ones or are they the slowed down version?

thanks
Robert

You have to be 12 years old and five feet or taller to drive it. However, there must be a licensed driver in the boat.
